A different currency this Diwali….Blogging!

Come Diwali, and there is this mad rush to catch up with everything. The little time we have is spent juggling work, friends, brands, shopping, gifting, H1 closings and what not.

Well we are all for gifting, after all its tradition. We must admit, we started on the same note but somewhere along the line added to this a small tradition of our own. We believe that the spirit of Diwali lies in sharing, and like any action it begins with a thought.

We invite you, our partners, friends, peers and clients to donate two minutes of your time this Diwali. “Your action can activate a future” and we ask you to support this thought. Leave your message in this space and we will contribute a humble amount on your behalf to The Akanksha Foundation: a leading NGO working in the field of children's education.
So this year let’s celebrate Diwali with a difference and illuminate the life of the underprivileged.

Your message could be a spontaneous version of self or simply the completion of:
“I believe in the spirit of Jagran Solutions to light up a child's future this Diwali because…..

Happiness, joy and laughter – that is all a child’s world should consist of. After all, childhood is perhaps the most special stage of life. And this is what Jagran Solutions hopes to achieve for every child.
It’s my duty...offcourse your duty also to help these children establish themselves, get equal opportunities as the educated, and not feel neglected. We can extend help through individual efforts or as a group.Every effort counts and works towards making these children feel wanted and get their rightful place in our society. Just think about the smiles our small help can bring on the faces of such underprivileged children! All the smile costs is our unconditional effort to help them achieve their goals in life. No matter whom we help, a girl child or a boy child, our assistance will surely blossom their withered futures .
Best wishes.....

Diwali is a festival which epitomizes victory, joy, peace, universal compassion and above all inner awakening.
And on this divine festival we can celebrate the true spirit of Diwali by illuminating the lives of underprivileged children, by bringing the smile on their face, by enlightening their future, by building better tomorrow and thus by awakening our inner soul.
I would be more than happy to extend my support for the cause initiated by Jagran Solutions.

"In every child you can see a God."

And as a social committment to contribute to the society ensuring childrens growth would lead to a better future of civilisation and the country.

It's our duty to leave a bright and shining future to the new generation, and education opens the door to that future. It's unfortunate that a lot of children still dont have access to basic education, but together we can make a difference.

All the best in this endeavour.

I agree with Mayur. Everytime we say we like to do something like this but than somehow forget it, in the hustle & bustle of HOW?
Here is the innovative answer from Jagran Solutions.
I will certainly take sometime out & contribute to Akanksha.

I believe in the spirit of Jagran Solutions to light up a child's future this Diwali because after witnessing Riots on eduation ( rly board ) we cannot count on our Elected leaders and political parties to do good for them . its our Responsibity what we want to see around and where we want india to reach .
Education is the only approach to hoilistic growth , so that they may not get trapped with Lingusistic and Religion propogandas of dirty Politics, they have to be smart enough to make a diiferenmce between
Nuclear123 agreement and its significance ?

Religion / region / lingusitic agendas where will india reach , Globalisation race ?

they hav to educated to decide whether india needs 9 % growth , Harmony or 3 more states after division?

they have to be educated so that in return they help others. India is a land of Sufi , Jainism Saint , Budhism , Hinduism and Teresa ? so i wish we inherit our culture and become Socially responsible for what keeps on going around us

lets not get united only for fights on Political cause but for well-being of a needy society, i definitely feel proud if i could help even one of them !

Diwali is about seeking and providing happiness and the best act that one can do is bring a smile on the face of an innocent child and give them a gift they would cherish for a long time to come

‘Your action can activate a future’ is indeed a strong comment. But there is no clarification on how or what is this activation. If I may please request for a website or any other medium whereby we can read, understand and contribute to Jagran Solution’s cause of supporting a blossoming future.

This initiative makes Diwali really meaningful and relevant to the thinking citizen.

I commend the Jagran Solutions team for coming up with this excellent forum to bring back into focus the true spirit of humanity and religion - giving and sharing and assuming responsibility for the future of our planet and our children.

I believe in the spirit of Jagran Solutions to light up a child's future this Diwali because this will ensure that these children will not just have a good diwali this year but also good diwali for years to come.

Jagran Solutions said...

Dear Item No 1, the initiative is aimed at calling to attention that these kids need our support, we at JS will contribute towards the cause in monetary terms every time an individual leaves a message in this space, (which includes you with your presence) and we are thankful, if you would wish to make a contribution further please get in touch with The Akansha Foundation – Suparna Or Tina @ 022-23700253, extension 22. We wish you and your family a Safe and Happy Diwali

Dear bkcreatives, any action which contributes in thought and or otherwise to those less fortunate than us, promotes prosperity in a society (this is our belief). However there is always more that needs to be done and we hope that this initiative will make a small difference, and thus a brighter happier Diwali, in its true spirit of sharing and giving. Wishing you a happy and safe Diwali.

While I have already appreciated your efforts, and have contributed to it too, I would like to point out something.

I have always believed and expected that in the world of blogging, one is more transparent than what we see in the real world.

From this context, shying away from mentioning the "humble contribution" even when specifically asked is something I find amusing. If you are worried that we will think the contribution is too humble, then maybe it actually is.

Whatever be the case, I would still request you to specify it. Would it make life simpler for everyone reading your post?

Jagran Solutions said...

Dear Nirav, When we started out on this journey we decided that as a team we shall contribute enough to be able to cover the education of atleast a few kids for a school year, irrespective of the support of the fraternity being low or negligible in the end (quite honestly we approached this with an open mind not conforming to many thoughts which said it would achieve limited results in trying and get a CTA in thought)…..

Did not announcing the amount stem from the fact that the fraternity may believe it’s too humble as an amount? Well not really … there is no contribution too humble or too large, if only each one contributed to make a difference in one life, that alone would be sufficient. Yes we have still not announced a numerical to it, …. Our start point is to make a difference to a few lives and Irrespective of what the final number may be in its incremental with every ones support, it will still be humble when compared to task at hand. We can contribute in part to a better tomorrow and encourage others to do so as well. Your individual contribution can go beyond this too and it can be whatever you wish if you so wish (The Akansha Foundation – Suparna Or Tina @ 022-23700253, extension 22).

We wish you a very happy and safe Diwali.

The future of a girl child can be safely declared more essential to the society when compared against blasting some noisy crackers (read spreading noise pollution). Its high time for us, the Urban tech savies, to swell our sphere of thought and come out of our safe and predictable cocoon. History is the living testimony to the fact, that this Nation needs action, not words. Hoping that this mesasge will tinker our cliched grey cells and help us build a future... build a generation... and build a nation.

I believe in the spirit of Jagran Solutions to light up a child's future this Diwali because .....
actuly it doesnt require any reason to explain why? for such a good cause.
All of us should do that but due to certain personal and social life we forget these children who also have rights to bright up their future. So This Diwali let us join hands to work for a cause...

The festival of lights that erases all darkness and evil should be utilised to bring cheer and happiness to all the downtroden and under privileged children. Hope, henceforth it will be a festival of brightness and cheer for all these people who have no one other than god to turn to.
Let us all show that we too care for them in whatever little manner possible.
